Super Bowl Champions: The Cleveland Browns! Maybe…

There’s been quite a bit of action of gambling or sports bets being placed in Vegas that the Cleveland Browns will with the National Football League Championship. Highly unlikely story for them as most of the coaching staff and the team is brand new with a few stragglers of player’s that have stood strong with the city of Cleveland. I’m hopeful for a resurgence of the team and their successes. We’ve obviously sucked ass for years but just like the Cavs, we’re all in, in Believeland. There hasn’t been a stronger time for Cleveland fans. An NBA Championship and an AL Central Leader in the Indians. Why not the Browns? This video may give you an idea  of why or why not…

According to ESPN, there have been almost 1,000 bets that the Browns will capture the Lombardi Trophy. Obviously the likelihood of hat happening is extremely, extremely low. So that payout is going to be one sweet, sweet victory for those who put money on this feat. Most bets were placed at 200-1 odds and it dropped to 175-1 odds. Odds look pretty similar to this pig on the right here…

Other more reasonable bets that were placed were the over under on wins this years for the Browns. The number was originally set at 4.5 games and now it’s at 4 even. I have been telling the rest of The Nest that I would be happy if we won 4 games and now my confidence is rising in them. We start off by playing the Philadelphia Eagles with Carson Wentz named as their starting QB, hopefully or less than spectacular defense can shake this rookie up and start the season 1-0. I guess we’ll see Sunday.
