World Series TV Ratings

Baseball might have lost some interest over the years but this years World Series is a hot ticket and a huge watch.

Total Nielsen Ratings per game:

Game 1: 12.6 overnight rating among households

Game 2: 11.3 overnight rating among households

That’s more than a 20 percent improvement from the comparable game last year, which continues the very favorable ratings this postseason. Tuesday night’s numbers translated to the best World Series start since 2009 — 19.4 million viewers and a 5.6 rating among adults 18-49. For comparison OSU vs. Penn State recorded a 3.9 – All of this is good news for baseball.
