Not shocking to see OSU and Michigan at #1 when you consider the rivalry and the stakes of that game. A #2 vs. a #3 at the end of the year is sure to pull in eyeballs. Especially when ESPN promotes the hell out of it. Another one that wasn’t shocking at the time is ND vs. Texas. However, looking back its funny. That win was Strong’s crowning moment at Texas. Fast forward and he’s fired while ND turned in a 4-8 disaster season.
I’m also surprised there aren’t even more BIG Ten games. They held their own but we are talking about the conference with the biggest Universities and thus the largest following.
